The COVID-19 Every Worker Protection Act would require employers to take immediate action to curb the spread of COVID
OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) would start enforcing CDC guidance at essential workplaces within 7 days of the Act passing.
Employers would be forbidden from retaliating against workers who report infection control problems.
Employers would also be required to develop a longer-term plan to control future infectious diseases in their workplaces.
The COVID-19 Every Worker Protection Act expired when Congress changed over at the start of the year, which is why it needs to be reintroduced now.
